"La habitación estaba muy limpia y todo organizado. La cama bien tendida y limpias las sábanas. El baño muy bien presentado y limpio. Los pisos y pasillos inmaculados y el ascensor en buen funcionamiento y amplio de espacio. Ahora el cuarto con vista a la plaza obviamente recibe el ruido de la calle, bocinas de los vehículos que pasan al frente del hotel y se escuchan las voces de los transeúntes. Debes pedir los cuartos traseros del hotel si deseas dormir en paz y en tranquilidad. Por lo demás, es un hotel bueno y muy céntrico en su localización. El personal es amable."

"We only stayed at El Colonial for one night, but I’d absolutely stay here again. The staff was great, and the open bar for guests is honestly such a cool perk. The rooms themselves are pretty straightforward and had everything we needed. We did have an issue with our A/C leaking and had to switch rooms, but the staff made easy work of it and had us moved without it becoming a whole thing. The hotel also felt really safe. You need a code just to get into the lobby, and there’s someone available 24/7. Location-wise, it was perfect for us. You can walk pretty much everywhere in Old San Juan, but I especially liked that this area seemed to have more of the grown-up food and cocktail spots versus being right in the middle of the louder tourist areas. They recommended El Más Allá, which is literally next door, and it was great. There is no elevator, and they’re very clear about that before you book. We were on the fourth floor, so getting our bags up and down was definitely a workout. 😂 But once we were up there, the hotel was surprisingly quiet. The rooftop was also great at night. It was private, comfortable, and a nice place to hang out before heading back to the room. Overall, great location, great people, and a really fun place to stay. I’d definitely recommend it and can’t wait to come back."
