“Western-style comfort combined with Japanese hospitality—a great choice for international visitors as well. We’re Japanese and stayed here while attending an event in the area. I appreciate the thoughtful and elaborate hospitality that traditional Japanese ryokans are known for, and take pride in it as part of Japanese culture. At times, though, it can feel a little overwhelming. This hotel strikes just the right balance. Everything is clean, the staff are kind, and the hospitality is warm and...

“This place is great for a little escape away from the crazy cities of Japan. After visiting Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto, the crazy crowds, crowded trains we stopped off here for a couple days before our trip back to Narita Airport. Its a quick train from Atami to Usami. Its a small, quiet town on a beautiful beach. The hotel itself is dated but immaculate, polished tile floors, the public and private baths on the property are amazing. Its a short 5 minute walk to the beach. I would recommend a taxi...

“This is our most memorable stay in Japan. We had an exceptional room with private rooftop onsen and incredible views. The staff and management were especially helpful and more importantly they were sincere. Their recommendations were fantastic. Manazuru is a lovely, manageable, not over saturated town with limited tourist influence and it might be hard to find a better place to stay than this one. It can be viewed as expensive but in Japan you pay for what you get and the value was fantastic. ...
