Zhongnanhai Tours

Constructed from 1406 to 1420, China's Forbidden City consists of 980 buildings and covers over 180 acres. Much of the Forbidden City has been meticulously restored, but there are still a few sections that remain dilapidated.

We visited on a rainy, cloudy day.
Forbidden City Over the centuries, millions of intelligent scholars and warriors dreamed to enter and became part of the crew of the emperor. Young, beautiful and knowledgeable women dreamed to enter and become the concubines of the emperor. Once they are in, they are in forever and ever. Lots of tales sharing that very often a concubine will envy a bird. In their eyes, a bird can fly in and fly out while they can never leave the forbidden city. Nothing changed. Forbidden city is still a place that everyone wants to enter. Luckily, we can now leave and go as we wish. 🙂 #chinese #chineseheritage #chineseculture #wehavefreedomnow #emperor

We thoroughly enjoyed our 8 night stay at Crowne Plaza Utown Beijing. Particular shoutout to Maria, Musa, and Ivy for making our stay so welcoming and comfortable, and for being very supportive when we encountered urgent issues. We appreciate the impeccable service and hotel facilities/provisions and would happily return for another visit next time we head to Beijing

We stayed at Jiuxian Apartment because it was close to the airport. The apartment was clean. The beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly. We took a short walk around the 798 art area next door before heading to the airport. It was very interesting. We'd like to return in the future.
