“We had a lovely weekend away at the Albion. We dined at The Rock, lovely food and staff were lovely. We had a sea view ground floor room, lovely decor and really comfy bed. ”
“Great hotel. Have been coming for years for an annual birthday night out with a group of friends. Guy at reception was very friendly, especially as we were concerned we may not be able to park there as no space, but did manage to in the end. Hotel is great...not the most modern, no, but homely and rooms have always been spacious, clean and welcoming. The bar/club is great for a night out. Would definitely recommend. Very close to town centre and beach too. Well done Royal Exeter!”
“The room was fine. Pity about the floorboards of the room above creaking when anyone walked around. The bed was slightly too saggy, but everything else was fine. Breakfast was filling, but I would have preferred scrambled rather than fried eggs, and a changing menu. The pool/spa was nice but ageing, and it gets used to teach kids swimming at times, so may not be available. Still, it was good for the price and it's in a nice location.”
“비수기를이용 60파운드 정도에 시뷰 발코니룸을 예약. 도착해서 시뷰 발코니룸을 받기는 했는데 홈페이지 사진과는 전~혀 다를 좀 후진 방을줌. 컴플레인을 걸었더니 4층 발코니뷰 방은 다 차서 2층에 발코니 방을 줬다는데.... 발코니 옆에선 로비천장 공사중이고 앞 바다는 건물에 가려서 잘 보이지 않고, 방과 욕실도 사진보다 작았음.
밤에 나가서 불켜진곳을 확인해보니 4층에 빈방도 있는 듯 했음. 뭔가 차별 냄세가 나기는 했으나 하루 있는거라 그냥 넘어감.
시설, 위치는 가격대비 나쁘지 않았으나 다시 방문할지는....”

“언덕위 바다 조망의 깨끗하고 안락한 호텔이었습니다. 객실 크기는 비교적 큰 편이었고, 직원들도 친절했으며, 조식도 훌륭했습니다. 사용해본적은 없으나 수영장과 자쿠지 등도 무료로 이용가능하다고 합니다. 아쉬웠던 점은 욕실의 샤워 수도꼭지가 매우 독특한 (구형의?) 방식의 것이라 사용에 어려움이 컸던 것 입니다 (비슷한 후기들이 많이 보이네요). 반드시 호텔 직원을 호출해서 샤워 사용법을 충분히 익혀두시길 추천합니다.”
“We wanted a hotel that is near the beach, affordable and also with easy access to town centre. Unfortunately this hotel is extremely run down. I heard that some of the executive suites have been remodelled (only rooms with aircon!) but the standard room we stayed in was in a terrible condition. Wallpaper on the walls and ceiling were peeling off, mold on all silicons in the bathroom and the shower head was orange from build up.
We had an unfortunate timing as another room had left their water...
“I saw lots of negative reviews for this hotel so was very nervous about booking but we’d been let down at the last minute with the accommodation we’d booked for our weekend away so booked the Ocean hotel and hoped for the best!
I have to say I was so pleasantly surprised, yes the outside is a bit tired but the reception and bar area are lovely, the staff are friendly and helpful and the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, it had everything we needed, even a fan and heater in the wardrobe...

“This was our second visit. We were initially given a room in a bad location on the second floor. We had to walk a lot and go through hot corridors. When we refused the room, we were then given a nice one on the ground floor. It was in good condition, and we really appreciated it.”
