"The Hotel Colorado has a long and storied history, having been built in the late 1800's and operating more or less continuously since then. It has been lovingly restored, modernized, and maintained and has a charm all its own. The hotel is located within a short walk of the downtown shopping area and public venues. We did find that the in-house restaurant felt a bit limited and overpriced, but our menu selections were tasty and the service was very good. The only knock I had was a rather steep fee for early check-in, which would have been nice after the drive. They did allow us to park in the lot, though, so I give some props for that. Overall it was a wonderful stay and I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in Glenwood Springs."

"Spacious accommodation, clean rooms and well kept property. Large pool/hot tub area. Separate swim area for the lil tykes. Multiple outdoor grills made for easy grilling. The fitness area is small but has a variety of equipment. Onsite bar/restaurant isn’t much but staff are friendly and efficient. The free shuttle to town makes shopping and tooling around very easy."

"Beautiful property and the front desk staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Food and service at breakfast and dinner were excellent. Our room was very clean and comfortable, but it could use use some renovating: carpeting, stained lampshade, and wood trim in the bathroom. And beware if you are visiting in the summer. It is not air conditioned."
