Wrights Houses from Warrender Park Terrace The distant street retains the name of the village whose houses stood on the north-western edge of the Burgh Muir outside the city walls. Most of the houses on the east side of the village disappeared when a new toll road replaced the old Linton Road in the 1820s. Their Victorian successors stand between the Barclay Church and Barclay Terrace along with some modern flats built in the 1990s.
