“The whole experience was amazing, all of staff where brilliant and relaxed. The food for breakfast was exactly what you wanted, the room was clean and big enough for 4 and the hot tub was clean, warm and natural. I cannot imagine us not going back.”

“The reason I haven’t scored 5 is that Expedia sold us a room that had issues with noise / cooking smells as it’s above the kitchen and is noisey and smelly when the staff are cooking. We stayed in a room named Helvellyn and Expedia didn’t state any issues with any rooms. If we had booked direct with the queens head it details the room helvellyn as having issues with noise etc due to it’s proximity to the kitchen. “I had a room with paper-thin walls. I could hear my next-door room neighbors late into the evening...they were just having a normal decibel conversation but the walls were so thin between us that it was all disruptive to falling asleep. “Quaysiders resort is an apartment/hotel right by the upper side of Lake Windermere in Ambleside. It is in an absolutely perfect location close to the lake, shops, restaurants. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with a kitchen that had all kitchen amenities. Our Apartment was very clean and spacious . There is an indoor pool that was warm and it can also be like a Jacuzzi.
