Victor and Johanna were so friendly and warm, we felt valued. The breakfasts were delicious! The hotel was clean, comfortable and we appreciated the easy parking. Being so close to restaurants and the town center made walking about so easy. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

Enjoyed a great 3 night stay at the Hideaway. This is a true Bed & Breakfast. Our bed was comfortable and our private bath had been nicely modernized with helpful shelves and racks. The breakfasts were prepared to order from a balanced menu. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. Due to the rain we did not get to enjoy the outside sitting area but it looked inviting. The bedroom itself was a bit tight, but we had small roller bags so we were able to situate everything - would have been...

Melrose Guest house is a beautiful place to stay in the Ambelside, Lakes National Park, and Windemere area. It is conveniently located in town by restaurants, ships, and trails. The LInthwaite House Hotel is absolutely marvelous--in every way. The location overlooking Lake Windermere is perfect--amazing views, feels like a million miles from the tourist chaos below, yet extremely handy to everything is one wanted to pop to a local pub or explore. A truly amazing property. Unparalleled service, exquisite country setting, the most wonderful food and presentation. We were here two different nites within a week and were welcomed back on our second stay like old friends. Deco is amazing...cannot say enough about this wonderful property. We enjoyed our stay at Cedar Manor. The hosts were great and offered advice on dining in the local area and walking directions to the town. We spent most of our time traveling the area and did not eat in the restaurant. The room was a little on the small side and the hot weather required a fan in the room which did not add to the comfort. Otherwise all good and worth a visit

After a busy week exploring Scotland, my boyfriend and I decided to make a stop for a couple of day in the quiet town of Windermere to get some rest and relaxation before continuing onto our busy adventures down in London. Jericho was just what we needed. The entire place was beautifully decorated and very very well kept. Our room was so cozy (but spacious) and luxurious--I probably could have just moved in. Oh and don't even get me started about the breakfasts! They serve up a WONDERFUL...
