"Our stay at Onyado Nono Kyoto was nothing short of exceptional. This hotel beautifully blends modern comfort with an authentic Japanese atmosphere, offering a peaceful retreat right in the heart of the city. From the moment we stepped inside, we were immersed in the traditional Japanese experience. Removing our shoes at the entrance and walking on the warm tatami-style flooring throughout the hotel added such a calming and cultural touch. Every detail, from the minimalist décor to the soothing ambient music, created a sense of tranquility and respect for tradition. Our room was immaculate and tastefully appointed with Japanese design elements, including sliding doors, futon-style beds, and a beautiful wooden bath area. Despite the traditional aesthetic, the room was fully equipped with all the modern conveniences we needed. The highlight of our stay was the onsen (hot springs). The natural indoor and outdoor baths were an oasis of relaxation after a full day of exploring Kyoto’s temples and shrines. The quiet, serene atmosphere and attention to cleanliness made it a perfect place to unwind. The complimentary noodle service at night was a delightful surprise—a comforting, delicious bowl of ramen that made the evenings feel extra special. The breakfast buffet was also impressive, offering a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes made with high-quality ingredients. "Location was good, not super close, 25 min walk to nishiki market, 15 minute walk to Gion. But the room was spacious and beautiful, food at the hotel is amazing. If you have the option to add breakfast do it! It was so delicious every morning, also the bakery and rooftop bar were great as well. "

"Very clean room, professional staff, nice amenities such as gym, bathing room, and complementary snacks with coffee and other drinks. Only small issue was wifi seemed to be intermittent, depending on time of day - perhaps due to heavy usage by others in area but still noticeable and not something experienced at other hotels in Japan during my vacation. Overall highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay with good location to subway and other attractions. "

"Great location as it’s just steps from the main Kyoto Station, Don Quiote, and Aeon Mall. Being on the south side of the station means a bit less hussle and bussle, easier to access. It is much quieter and less foot traffic. The room was very clean and spacious for our family. Multiple floors for laundry was a definite great add-on for us (and even a tv channel dedicated to monitoring the laundry machines vacancy). Definitly recommend and would stay again in the future."

"Great stay at the Sotetsu Fresa Inn Kyoto- Kiyomizu Goju. Staff are very helpful, friendly and very welcoming. Rooms are very clean and daily housekeeping is provided, if requested. Excellent amenities and the hotel has everthing you need for a comfortable stay. Beds were comfortable and I liked the pillow options. The location is perfect- 7mins walking distance from Gojo station; one station away from Kyoto station. The hotel is walking distance to the some of the big food markets and shopping streets. Overall, I had a safe and excellent stay and would recommend the hotel. "
