““I stayed at the Atholl Palace Hotel for two nights, and unfortunately, I was disappointed with several aspects. The water pressure in the bathroom was weak, making it uncomfortable to shower. The bed and other facilities were quite uncomfortable as well. There was no concierge service, which I found inconvenient. Apart from the nice views and the historical charm of staying near the castle, I didn’t find much value in the experience.””

“Big disappointment. With a change of ownership, new management and an extensive refurbishment, this expensive hotel should be a joy. It was a bit of a joke and the staff agreed. The room: We stayed in the annex. No cold water for three days! Maintenance agreed the tap was broken but that was the extent of efforts to resolve it. One small bottle of water each was the solution for drinking and cleaning teeth. No control for temperature inside the room. Control in the lobby for four rooms. It was...

“We absolutely loved our stay here. It was only for one night, but the room and space was so lovely I wish we could have stayed for a week. There was a massive tub with bubble bath (highland soap company, if I’m not mistaken) that was just perfect after a long day of hiking. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant downstairs, and it did not disappoint. If we are ever back in Pitlochry, I will not hesitate to book here again.”

“It was a quiet, clean place to stay. The best part was the breakfast! The workers were very pleasant and make it obvious that they worked toward making your stay a pleasant one. One tip: better signage to lead guests to the check-in office, and please place the bath mat out in the open as the shower without it was quite slippery.”

“Un logement hors du commun que je recommande. Le cottage à l'entrée du site est grand, confortable, bien équipé mais poussiéreux. Localisation stratégique pour les visite de châteaux alentours (Glamis, Dunnottar, Blair, Braemar) Le soir, à pied, la découverte de la faune forestière est fantastique : chouettes effraies, biches, écureuil, vaches, cochons et chevaux sauvages, et bien sûr : les castors ! “The location of the property is a bit tricky to fund but its worth the drive as it's set up overlooking Loch Tay surrounded by sheep farm and mountains. The chalet had everything we needed for our 2 nights. Beds were very comfy! We enjoyed the long walk to the beach, very Scottish, very magical!”

“This was our first time staying in this area and I’m so glad we did! The lodge is beautiful, situated overlooking a wee loch and hills. It was bright, spacious, clean and well equipped. Each bedroom has it’s own en-suite, handy when there are a few of you. The lovely part is the patio doors that lead out to the veranda from both the main bedroom (beautiful view to wake up to!) and the large kitchen/diner, so you have this amazing landscape right in front of you. “This is a 2-bedroom lodge with a kitchen/living area and bathroom. It is in a community of several lodges, some holiday lets, and some homes. The lodge had everything we needed for a 6-day stay. We found exactly what we needed for day-tripping and we would return if we were back in that area”
