"Had a great time. Everything was clean, classy and calm. Drinks were great and entertainment was good good quality. If I had to make one more critique it would be for them to have a more exciting and fun-filled entertainment itinerary."

"My wife and I stayed at Sapphire from 7/9 until 7/19. We are in our early 70's. Pros: Nice private rooms in "villas" apart from the public areas. Noise level very low even with nighttime concerts. Kids: Very kid friendly, with lots of activities and an Explorers Club for all day activities, at an extra fee of course. Restaurants: A pretty good buffet, an okay French themed restaurant which we enjoyed, an Italian themed restaurant which we did not enjoy, and a Japanese restaurant which we did not visit. Pools: plenty of pool space, well maintained, all day activities. Staff; overall very friendly and try to be helpful when they can. Cons: The beach is grossly infested by smelly sargasso. The hotel does what it can, but sometimes you cannot beat Mother Nature. Forget ocean sports, long beach walks, etc. Just enjoy the pools. The Italian restaurant just gave us food, then forgot about us. We got lonely when no one offered more wine, or desserts, or asked how we were doing, etc. My entree was flavorless, my wife enjoyed her shrimp entree. Eventually we just walked out out of boredom and did not return. Finally, the residential units. These are several stories high, but have no elevators, only stairwells. There are no elevators in this hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will probably return. We can only pray that the sargasso will vanish."

Ocean Coral & Turquesa All Inclusive

"Ocean coral was a great time. Eduardo, Gustavo, Alejandro, & Jordi were 10/10 at the pool bar. Amazing service and Gustavo had drinks ready for us before we even ordered. Carlito & Fabian, the entertainment crew were also 10/10. Rooms were clean and guest services was helpful. Bernice at the front desk was EXTREMELY helpful with booking restaurants. Sometimes it was hard to get an early spot but she called to make sure we scheduled a reservation. House keeping and guest services were awesome!! To no fault of their own, there is no beach so just be prepared. However, the resort is great. The people are all nice, helpful, and accommodating. Can’t wait to see their new and updated resort when we return! Helpful tips if you are considering staying at this resort: 1.) book and pay for your transportation in advance. The resort only offers free transport to/from the airport if you book directly with them on their website. 2) do not look forward to the beach. It is inaccessible due to the seaweed (to no fault of the resort) 3) bring extra cover ups because you can’t get into their dining hall without it and 4) be prepared to make other dining arrangements. Reservations are difficult to make. Some of this may work itself out with the new property. Overall, we had a great stay!!!"
