"Stayed here one night after trip to Halong Bay and have to say staff was wonderful and attentive. However the conditions of the hotel left little to be desired. The lobby was welcoming with fresh scents, but as soon as we went to our room on the 7th floor we were overwhelmed with old musty smell of mold and old smoke scent which continued in our room. The smell was almost unbearable. The room was very spacious and was even provided extra towels. Also shower had great water pressure. The room would have been better if the old carpet did not feel so grimy. Had to wear slippers entire time because did not want to touch carpet. Also not a whole lot within walking distance after staying in old quarters. Overall I would expect higher quality for the price. "

"The room my wife and I chose was amazing. It had gorgeous balcony view and allowed us to rest and recharge without feeling like we missed a beat of what’s was going on. We chose this area because it’s close to everything but not right in the middle of everything so we could enjoy our time rest in between adventures without having to use ear plugs lol. Theres a beautiful lake right by the hotel. I enjoyed a run there in the morning and it was fun to see how the locals start their day. Here are some things to be mindful of if you pick this property. Just for full transparency when my wife and I first checked in, they mentioned that there was an issue with the room that we had booked and that it wouldn’t be ready until tomorrow due to water leakage. I get it these things happen but it doesn’t change the fact that the flow and rhythm of our trip was taken off coarse. They offered us another room until our room was ready tomorrow but the room obviously wasn’t the premium room we paid for so I asked to be compensated for the difference and what I was initially offered was nothing but change and I felt as if I was being treated unfairly. After much unnecessary back and forth I was finally offered an amount that seemed fair for the inconvenience and we were able to move forward. I would definitely stay here again because after we were able to move through that hurdle, we could enjoy the staff, our room (ready next day just as they said), and beautiful Hanoi. Be back soon. "

"The room and bathroom were clean, like pictured. The reception staff (Tony and his team) were friendly, very prompt with requests and made everything for me very easy, they even kept my luggage for 2 days after i checked out to go to Sapa. The location of the hotel is convenient and close to train street, easily walkable to most places or a very cheap grab ride away. Will book again next time I am in Hanoi. "

"I had a wonderful stay in the Club Room at the Daewoo Hotel Hanoi, and it truly exceeded my expectations. This is my 7th or 8th stay with them in the club room. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed. The Club Room itself was spacious, well-appointed, and very comfortable, with elegant décor and great views of the city. The bed was exceptionally cozy, and everything—from cleanliness to in-room amenities—was thoughtfully prepared. One of the highlights of the stay was access to the Club Lounge. The atmosphere there was perfect for both relaxing and informal meetings. The selection of breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails was impressive, with a good mix of local and international options. The staff in the lounge were especially courteous and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The hotel’s facilities, including the pool and fitness center, were well-maintained and added to the overall experience. Its location is also very convenient, making it easy to get around Hanoi. Overall, my stay at Daewoo Hotel Hanoi was comfortable, relaxing, and memorable. I would highly recommend the Club Room experience to anyone looking for a premium stay in Hanoi, and I look forward to returning again."

"Breakfast and staff were excellent. Room was clean and cleaned daily. No safe in room. No secure area to leave luggage for the day. Staff are willing to hold luggage for the day in a room frequented by many individuals. The hotel is located at the end of a narrow alley making it more challenging for Grab drivers to pick up and drop-off. Pool looked good but did not try. Neighborhood has lots of every day city life in Vietnam-fish and chicken being cleaned, families and friends gathered eating outside in front of buildings and some construction. Though very quiet from 11pm-7am for sleeping."
