"This was a very nice hotel that was extremely convenient for travelers arriving in Edinburgh by train - literally only a block and a half away! While a bit more expensive than a comparable hotel we stayed at in London an equal distance from Victoria Station, it was ideal for our stay in Edinburgh. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and they kept our luggage for us while we visited the Palace and toured the Royal Mile. My only concern was that our luggage and backpack were left exposed to the general public in the lobby the entire time we were away. A secure room for left luggage would’ve been more reassuring! Our room had a lovely king size bed. The ironing board and iron was a nice touch. The hair dryer worked great and there was lots of hot water and great water pressure. The climate control in the room was sluggish but eventually did a good job. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet."

"Great hotel. It has become my go-to for work trips. Only complaint is the gym doesnt open until 7am, so if you need to get onto the city, you cannot work out on the morning. Room could benefit from a coat hook, but overall a very good place to stay."
