โWhile it was on a busy street and difficult to find where to park, the manager was amazing and helped us with our suitcases. The rooms are located above the restaurant and there is no elevator but it was only one flight of stairs. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. There is no A/C so it was a little hot because we couldn't open the window.โ
โLikes - checking-in was easy and check-in staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was clean and spacious enough.
Breakfast was buffet-style and had adequate choices for my needs.
There is a good bus service into Edinburgh city centre.
Dislikes - my room overlooked the neighbouring restaurant so early evening was a bit noisy. โ
โAbsolutely first class hotel - the staff are unbelievably friendly and helpful and canโt do enough for you.
The food is incredible - like Michelin star level! This is our favourite hotel weโve ever stayed in.โ
โThe Hoxton was a nice, comfortable, convenient hotel close to the city centre for all touristy things. Our room was clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed staying here. โ
โHad an excellent stay at The Raeburn. Wonderful place to stay, very clean and comfortable. The staff was accommodating and a pleasure to deal with.โ
โThe location nd space was amazingโฆbut it was the stellar staff that get the top notch accolades. They were all so friendly and helpful from the minute we arrived to the time we left. And not just doing little things, but things rarely done now. They happened to ask about our plans for the day and when they heard we had a full day travel trip they made us a goodie bag with treats and apples. I found everything about this stay to be wonderful and look forward to a return!โ
โWe had an excellent stay at The Resident in Edinburgh. The staff were absolutely fantastic! Friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Our room was spotless and had a fresh, clean scent, which we really appreciated. We even had a lovely view of Edinburgh Castle right from our window!
The hotel is located in New Town, which gave us a peaceful retreat away from the heavier tourist crowds but still within easy walking distance to everything. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay again!โ
โI couldnโt believe how beautiful this property is and the attention to detail was impeccable. Even the lounge area with cappuccino, latte, pastries, etc. were a pleasant surprise. Itโs in the perfect location too, we walked everywhere without any problems.โ
"The location and view were truly excellent. Major tourist attractions were within walking distance. Right after check-in, we found that the bathroom sink was clogged, but it was promptly repaired. The breakfast was also outstanding. One downside was that noise insulation both inside and outside the hotel could have been better. Overall, itโs a very good place to stay in Edinburgh.
