“Beautiful country hotel, small and personal service, delightful comfortable en-suite rooms, warm inviting pool - often to ourselves, incredible top class gourmet food - formal dining and bar food served in the warm and cosy bar area or the relaxing lounge. So much choice at breakfast, all delicious, everything you could want. Can’t wait to go back in summer to enjoy the open terrace overlooking the pond. A real joy to stay here.”

Breakfast was so good and there was a lot of choice. We had a pool room which was perfectly positioned next to the pool which was clean with loungers and seating. “Cleanliness is was ok. Be prepared that is old!!! Uneven steps, no elevator, no air conditioning or room fridge! Historic is great, but none of the comforts of home. Cold attitude toward guests! Did accommodate with a fan, but that wasn’t much help. Request for ice - one glass with 4 ice cubes!”
