“Restaurant/ bar/spa Staff made the trip, friendly professional and knew what it meant to make a memorable stay. Rooms VERY tired. First room smelt of body odour. Second room bathroom literally falling apart. Cracked sink, everything leaked. Heating so unbelievably hot but unable to turn it off even after reporting to staff. Slept with windows wide open all evening. Lovely location, quiet and peaceful. ”

“The room and bathroom were tiny but clean. Extremely cold and I had no instructions for controlling the heat which was constantly on “standby”. Upon arrival I stood in pouring rain ringing entry bell with no response. A kind passer-by went inside the restaurant to alert them. A sign for hotel reception would have been helpful. Staff were friendly and I had great support when my suitcase padlock required cutting off! Nobody was around to assist with taking my suitcases downstairs on departure. ”

“Lovely little hotel above a very noisy (weekend) pub! Had a large room facing the street. Was told things get noisy on Friday and Saturday nights - they weren't lying, it was CRAZY. Had ear plugs and eye mask and was up all night. Couldn't open the windows for air, so many smokers outside the pub. Wish they had given us a discount on pub food considering we were there for 5 nights. The vertuo coffee machine didn't work, daily fresh baked cookies were a nice touch. It's fine, it's cute but...
