“I have stayed here several times now. On arrival had a long wait to be checked in. Nobody was on reception. When they finally turned up there was no apology for the wait. Room as expected but I thought this time it was looking very tired. Badly chipped paintwork. Dirty marks on carpet. A stone from a fruit from previous guest on floor. “The hotel was clean, staff were very pleasant and helpful. Hotel location is convenient, but for foot passengers travelling with baggage, it's not so good. You have to walk a fair distance down a winding pathway, then push or pull your baggage up the hill for your return. When it is raining, this is very unpleasant. Not happy with this at all.”

“I had an amazing stay, the owner Nick was very responsive and very pleasant, despite booking last minute. There was a clear guide of instructions of places to go. There was tea, coffee, a socket near the bed, organic milk. When I am back in Bristol, I would definitely rebook, if there is availability. Thank you !!”

“We had a traumatic experience going to see `take `that weeks before. Trying to get a taxi out of the city. It was 1am when we got back to the hotel. The concert finished at 10.30. 5 women in our 60’s waiting on a pavement in Cardiff was awful. So I asked the Coach and Horses if we could cancel and have a refund (this hotel is a taxi ride way!) they refused as it was non refundable rooms. So I asked them several times. If I could have a credit note £270!! Not including breakfast is a lot to lose,...

“It was a nice property overall, but our room reeked of cigarettes, now my clothes also smell of cigarettes :-( We booked a second room for the rest of the family and that was much nicer. Helpful staff, nice restaurant with a delicious breakfast. Beautiful sunset over the restaurant terrace.”
