Hotel Metropolitan Edmont Tokyo

"Amazing hotel with beautiful attention to detail and hospitality."

Shinjuku Granbell Hotel
8/10 Good
"4/5 Stars – Great Value with a Few Caveats Overall, I’d give this hotel 4 out of 5 stars. At just over $100 USD per night, I think it’s one of the better values in Shinjuku. I’d recommend it—and would choose it over APA and several other similarly priced hotels—but there are a few things to know. The location is about a 15-minute walk to Shinjuku Station, with smaller subway entrances much closer. It’s on the edge of the red-light district, but don’t let that scare you—the area was surprisingly quiet, and my room was silent every night. The service was excellent. Check-in was smooth, housekeeping was outstanding with daily room cleaning, and the staff often cleaned our room shortly after we left. The rooftop bar had reasonable prices, and the breakfast was excellent for around $15 USD. The rooms are small, but that’s typical for Tokyo. Ours felt comparable to a U.S. college dorm room, but it was spotless, well-designed, and had everything we needed. Most complimentary amenities are available in the lobby. My biggest complaints were the laundry facilities and housekeeping hours. There are only three washer/dryer units, so expect to wait. Also, daily housekeeping ends around 1:30 p.m. One day we left around 2:00 p.m., and staff left a sign saying our room couldn’t be serviced. I honestly found that unnecessary—simply leaving the “Please tidy up” sign would have been a better approach. Despite those minor issues, I’d absolutely stay here again."

"Good location for public transportation access. Breakfast option was worth it. Nearby food options. If room faces Gov building, then you can see show from room. Gov building across the street with free observation level that has beverages and gift shop."

Shinagawa Prince Hotel
8/10 Good
"We stayed at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel for almost a week during our trip to Japan and overall had a good experience. The location was excellent—very central, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. We rarely had to go far for anything, which made our stay very convenient. The housekeeping staff was outstanding. Our room was always clean, and they were consistently friendly and professional. The only issue with the room was the air conditioning. It never cooled as well as we had hoped, especially in the summer heat. The hotel provided us with a fan on our second night, which helped tremendously. Unfortunately, our last impression was disappointing. While checking out, I was using the luggage scale located next to Guest Services and the luggage carts when an older gentleman working there raised his voice and told me to use the scale outside because this area was busy. After staying here for nearly a week, I found this unnecessary and unwelcoming. There were other guests standing nearby talking and meeting friends, yet I was singled out for simply using the scale where the hotel had placed it. If they don’t want guests weighing luggage there, the scale should be moved to a more appropriate location. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel for its location and excellent housekeeping, but I hope guest service during checkout can be improved."

The Prince Park Tower Tokyo - Preferred Hotels & Resorts, LVX Collection
10/10 Excellent
"The 32nd floor rooms and lounge are the reason to book this hotel. The lounge is lovely with views of Tokyo tower. The rooms are spacious and beautiful on the 32nd floor with views of the whole city. The breakfast was varied and lovely in the lounge. We truly felt spoiled. Any issue we came across was resolved. It was a very hot summer so our room was a bit hotter than we would have liked. The entire staff went above and beyond to resolve the problem. On the second night they moved/upgraded our room for the inconvenience and we had a lovely last sleep in Japan. Fujikake was an amazing manager. 0n our last day, we got sweaty walking around Tokyo and had already checked out. Since the kids cannot enter the spa to shower we didn't know what to do. She opened a room for an hour so we could all shower before going to the airport. We could not be more grateful for the incredible service and attention."
