"Large hotel right on the beach, although the beach is not where you want to hang out: they have several pools with many loungers that are convenient, with buttons to summon waitstaff to bring you drinks or food so this makes it very easy to relax and just hang out. Some rooms (our first visit) have patios with direct access to a 3 foot pool outside. Interestingly the rooms in the front of the hotel have access to a different smaller pool from their patios. Two restaurants: breakfast buffet is good in both restaurants and you are sent to one restaurant versus the other depending upon where in the complex you stay. I think it’s better to stay in the side of the hotel that’s open to the beach and that would be my preference if I rebook. I got really sick after eating the Indonesian food in the Indonesian restaurant, but that might’ve been just me."

"Amazing hotel, this is our second time, me and my husband stay at Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel. All staff nice especially Sumendri when we was breakfast, she look after me when I feel not well, offered me some warm drink like ginger and lemon and then she bring everyday in my breakfast and with my husband coffee as well. "Great place just on the beach front. Rooms clean and tidy if not on the older side. There was some modernisation of some villas going on so there was some construction noise. Other than that a great location if you’re staying in Kuta. Beware of the taxi drivers outside of the hotel as we agreed a price and he tried to charge extra once we were at the drop off point."
