"we loved staying here! our room was clean and updated, we loved being so close to the beach and there were many restaurants nearby. we will definitely stay here again!"
"This inn is newly renovated and perfect for a stay in Ocracoke. The rooms are comfortable and have everything you need.
Great location to the harbor and the complimentary bikes made it easy to get around town."

"The place was nice. Easy beach access. Pools were nice. Everything was within walking distance. Only downside was the last 5 miles was back up for up to an hour."
"The property was easy to find but the room took a minute. We had to drive around and figure out where the pool was and what it was called. A map would make it easier to find. The condo was gorgeous and very spacious. The second bedroom air wasn’t working and it was VERY hot in that room. I called on our second day to get it fixed and no one ever called me back or came to try and fix it. My son ended up sleeping terribly because of the heat. The check out procedure and what needs to be done is...
"Great place to stay with nearby beach, restaurants and grocery store.
Its a cozy house, very clean with really comfortable beds and linens.
Nice litter gsme room with ping pong table.
I would definitely stay here again. "

"This was the first time staying at this location. We expected a hotel, all one building really.
When we got there it was set up beautifully with separate housing plans, we were on second floor, so steps were alittle challenging at times.
But everyone was very friendly. Quit time at night was nice. Private beach parking and our own access.
Then the pond (turtle sanctuary: paddle boat area), pools and land were perfect!
I can’t wait to stay there next year.
So much I could say great.
If I had to comment on one thing would be there were no vending machines or food access
On property. Bar was open limited times.
Walmart was literally within walking distance in front of building so that’s helpful for food and snacks!"
"Overall, the place is dated but the rooms have all been updated. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was great. From previous reviews, it seems they have added to the breakfast. There were breakfast sandwiches, waffles, oats, muffins, bagels, boiled eggs, cereal, coffee, juices, milk. It was a great start to the day before heading to the beach.
We loved the gazebo area and ate several meals there. The access to the beach was perfect.
Parking is tight and one night after returning from dinner and mini golf, there were no spots in any of the lots. The staff ended up directing us to an area designated as no parking and allowed us to park assuring us that our vehicle would not be towed.
The only other issue would be the laundry room. There was only one working washer. It did make it difficult to try to wash clothes but we managed by often doing laundry late at night.
Overall, we would stay here again. It was family friendly. The staff were all so kind. The place was clean. The direct beach access was fantastic."
"Our third year at Mia’s (now an annual family tradition!) and it never disappoints.
Everything about Mia’s makes for the ideal Outer Banks experience:
- Clean, safe, & centrally located.
- Laid-back motel-style stay with just the right “frills” like in-room kitchens, beach view options, etc.
- Nearby beach, dining, boating, grocery, 4x4, fishing, hang gliding, etc.
- Clean, safe, & friendly environment.
- VERY pet friendly
Every year, we notice new improvements to the property and guest experience (whether it’s new decking on the oceanfront rooms, fresh paint, clever and adorable branded beach & “makeup” towels, improved waterproofing in the walk-in showers, new appliances, etc.). The owners and management are obviously constantly taking feedback and working to maintain and improve the property as a long-term business.
Sean, Valerie, & Leo are all great to deal with each year. The whole team (including housekeeping who unfortunately I don’t know the names of) are always accommodating and helpful, and I can’t say enough about the comfort and convenience of staying here.
Top tips: Enter this property with the right mindset (for example: expect friendly responsive service when you request extra coffee/toiletries if needed, not a bell hop/butler waiting on your every need), grab groceries to enjoy the comfort of your own kitchen, walk to Whalebone for fresh seafood and Cahoons Market for any groceries you forgot, and ENJOY THE BEACH!
Thanks, Mia’s! See you again soon!"
"This was our first visit to Hatteras and our hotel experience was awesome! We were able to check in early to the hotel and our room was oceanfront on the third floor, so we had an awesome view and really got to experience the full beach experience! We loved the cleanliness and the room was pretty large. The front desk staff was friendly and we appreciated being able to get into our room early after a long morning of travel! We appreciated being able to walk right to the beach rather than having to park somewhere else. We could go to the beach for an hour, come back to the room, go back down to the beach… Really can’t beat the location!
There is some construction/dredging going on to the right of the hotel if you were facing the oceanfront… Really didn’t bother us since we are from an area that has dredging, and only there for one night, but if we were there for an entire week, that would’ve been annoying! There was still plenty of beach to enjoy, but kind of hard to relax with the noise of bulldozers a few feet away from your beach chairs."
"It was a clean place to stay with comfy beds for a last minute weekend trip. Love the location! Easy check-in/check-out. The soap dispensers didn’t work and there is no filtered water but tap was ok for the short term. Overall good little beach place…would stay again!"
"The hits: Great location with great beach access. The adult pool is nice and relaxing. The beach staff was great. The Theodosia restaurant was delicious.
The misses: The Sandbar and Lifesaving Station food was mediocre. We went to the pool and two of the three times, there were no towels to be found and we had difficulty finding an employee to find us some towels. In our shower, one of the levers was not properly attached to the wall and the bathroom fan/vent did not work. One of the wall sockets in our room was not properly attached and would pull out when we would remove a plug. I asked the front desk for some silverware/plasticware and they could not find any."
