"The staff was great and everything was lovely. Onky down side was that we got there early in the morning and check in is at 3pm no matter what. We were able to go inside and eat but we did have to wait for our room until 3"

"The hotel overall was good and the staff was very nice and welcoming. However, the food was pretty average and below what I would expect from a five-star hotel. The buffet was small, with limited choices and not much variety. As for the à la carte restaurants, the steakhouse was disappointing. The Mexican and Italian restaurants were decent, but the rest were quite average. Overall, the service and atmosphere were enjoyable, but the food quality definitely needs improvement."

"The property was well maintained liked the room. The food was good, but was very difficult to get à la carte reservations without complaining. It was very disappointing that pools closed at six. The beaches had a lot of Sargasm and look like an endless job to clean up. They had renovations going on."

"The hotel was lovely my problem here is with Expedia. As a platinum member I was given NO reason why I was moved from my original hotel, I feel I was downgraded. Expedia has yet to apologize or explain the reasoning. I was booked in a suite in the family area of Hotel Xcaret Mexico, I was told by Expedia I was in the upgraded adult area, this was not the fact. My original property was a 5 star all adult resort. I HAD to upgrade my stay which cost me $2000 additional dollars to be in the adult upgraded casa at Hotel Xcaret Mexico. Expedia this is unacceptable. If you want an adult resort vacation this property is NOT for you. Expedia should have relocated me to their other 2 all Adult resort locations.."

"I would definitely come back again. This time with different people or just with my wife only. Francisco my concierge was amazing, the staff was great. The only thing I would improve is having music or a dj at the main pool. And the pebble pool floor was not great. It really messed up my feet."

"Initial check in was horrible. Only one of my 2 rooms were showing up even though I received confirmation from property for both rooms and my message to keep rooms together was acknowledged. After showing plenty of documentation they told me it was between me and Expedia and didn’t offer any help whatsoever. Wouldn’t even let rest of my party in to grab a drink at the lobby bar while I sorted it out with Expedia. Beyond that: Pros Clean place Polite staff Great house keeping Cons All amenities like pool tables, chess, ping pong, etc gets taken and put away at 4:30pm daily Not enough bartenders for either pool bar - better off getting out of pool and getting drinks from the walk up bar No evening lobby activities Evening activities in general are limited and abysmal - better off leaving resort Dining options are limited and they restrict how many restaurants you can attempt to make a reservation to based on your nights of stay so for our 4 nights / 5 days we were only allowed 2 reservation tickets Pro tip Convert your money and use Mexican pesos for everything as they have no respect for the exchange rate anywhere!! They make up their own prices when paying in anything else Find your own transportation ahead of time. Local taxis are piranhas and resort alliances are hyper inflated. I recommend Etransfer for airport/hotel transport and Silver's Shuttles Services for your every day run around. Both professional outfits, very dependable and fairly priced"
