"Oceana was the perfect hotel to spend on the last leg of my trip in LA. We relaxed by the pool and walked along the beach. It's quiet and the rooms are very spacious. The design is very pleasing to the eye. Everyone was friendly and professional - special thanks to Hakeem, Leonard, and Daniel. We will be back. "

"Ok the property is right next to the high school, not a problem with that. Ya it takes 10 minutes to get to the boardwalk, it's all down hill. Takes longer getting back, FYI don't go up Bay St really steep. Boardwalk is great, there is a guy who rents bikes down there for 30. A day, great deal, works out of a truck on the boardwalk.
Boardwalk is really long and nice."

"Beautifully designed hotel in a great location with solid food options and friendly service. The room was so well decorated and comfortable, and I especially loved the Aesop products. The curated mini bar was a nice little touch as well. The housekeeping staff was all very friendly, and every time I passed by a hotel employee, they were went out of their way to be genuinely courteous. I enjoyed the pool area and being able to bring my dog up there as well. Overall, a wonderful stay and I hope to stay there again in the future."
"We stayed for one night as some of our family members were running the Santa Monica Classic and didn't want to drive in the morning. The proximity of this hotel to the playgrounds as well as the boardwalk was a huge advantage of staying here for us. We did not have any issues with parking like what was specified in a lot of the reviews for this place however, it's important to note that we were there right at check in time. The beds were comfy, the room was spacious, the shower was small but it had good pressure. They have hand soap and lotion by the sink in the bathroom and shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the shower. It's not a fancy place but for the area, I think it's still worth its overnight price.
Front desk was friendly, offered us coffee but it was the afternoon and we didn't want to stay up too late. Would book here again. "
