, the river, coffee shops, etc. Service was great. The staff were all warm, friendly and helpful. There’s free wine and popcorn in the afternoon and coffee in the morning. Our room was clean and a nice size. The only downside is that it’s an older hotel and in need of renovation - although I believe that’s being worked on. Overall, a very pleasant stay!"

"the mark is superb all around. location is also great for nyc dining, shopping, and recreation (central park is one street over). my only suggestion is to add a sofa in the standard rooms as the table and 2 tiny chairs are not really functional or comfortable."

"The hotel is on a quiet residential street in the UES with easy access to two subway stations and quick walk to both Central Park and the East River Greenway. My family of 4 stayed in a junior suite and had plenty of room. They staff was friendly and attentive and all amenities were clean and comfortable. The neighborhood has everything you could want within walking distance: Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Walgreens, and tons of restaurants (plenty of pizza for the kids!). I would definitely stay...

"The Carlyle was an excellent place to stay in New York; it is very convenient to the Metropolitan Museum, the Park, and to many beautiful shops and restaurants. More importantly it was comfortable, obviously well-maintained and staffed! I will definitely plan to stay there again!"
