“We really enjoyed the two apartment combo. It was clean, spacious, well equipped and it was easy to fit everyone. The murphy bed was a little hard but the girls didnt complain. I took a nap on it and my back protested. The pools were the main attraction for us but there were so many other things to do there! ”

“Returned 40 years later from our 1st stay, when it was in its original ocean front location, to this 2025 stay. Classic, historic, dedicated beach access, lovely grounds, lush landscaping and gardens, and a great vibe. Rocking chairs and porch swings harken back to the good ‘ol days. Wonderful breakfasts by Chef Georgia, with eclectic culinary creations. Just love this ‘old woodie’ hotel in the original classic OBX architectural style.”

“Can’t wait to return. Homey and comfortable. Our host was absolutely fabulous and was extremely interesting. He spent a lot of time answering our questions and just being helpful. It’s only a minute or two from the highway, but you’d never know it. Quiet. Feels remote. They have fishing poles, kayaks, life preservers, bicycles, and tons of books (especially local titles) games, on and on. Wonderful deck off each room to watch the water and wildlife. This place is a jewel. Recommend it highly. ”
