"Great staff members and hotel is very clean. Wish there are more amenities such as gym, kids room and more private onsens. Love the stay and view, located in a great accessible location to the cable car and bus station. Lots of parking lot spots too. "

"The staff was friendly and the breakfast beautifully presented and delicious. The bed linens were old and there was a moldy smell in the main rooms. The toilet seat functions were intermittent and the heater was loud so that we had to turn it off. The property could use some updating."

Definitely a unique place to stay with local character- no frills onsen open to guests and not trying to be something its not. I would definitely come back here if I am ever in Hakone. You check in on a tablet in the room and then you connect to an operator who finalizes your check in. You get a PIN code to enter the room was… pretty easy. The unit was spotless. Very clean. Had everything you need in the kitchen. The onsen was nice. Only thing missing was a view. "
