East of The Strip, Las Vegas hotel rooms at the MGM

"anytime we asked a question relating to our stay we got the "you booked through expedia so you can't do that". It made us feel like 3rd class citizens. We paid for our stay, put money in your machines, ate the VERY expensive food in your restaurants and you can't apply our points to our bill for food charged to the room? They finally did but it was with an attitude of like it's a BIG thing and even though it was hundreds that we charged they made a big deal of tips and fees not being eligible - trust me - the food bills were multiple times the measly 60.00 . No - we won't go back"

"If you are seeing a show at the Sphere, this is an excellent location to get there. About a 15min walk back from the sphere, I suggest an Uber to get there. The surrounding area is relatively safe at night if you are traveling in a group or with a couple of strong men. There are some homeless around, but I have never had an issue with anyone. In the evening I wouldn't walk alone or with only women. Rooms at this hotel are huge compared to the typical 1 king or 2 queen/double bed type rooms. There's a sitting & dining area in addition to the bedroom. It's all one large area. Ice machines on every floor and rooms have good AC. The property has several 3 story buildings spread out that house the rooms, similar to a resort. The front desk employees are polite but not very friendly; probably my least favorite aspect of the hotel. Lobby smells like cigarettes, but the hotel overall is very good. Large gym with lot's of cardio machines, weight machines, and lifting equipment, benches, etc... There is a Spa that provides basic massage services that are reasonably priced. It's a small space, not super fancy, but good massage. You change in the same room as your massage is in, there is only a thin sheet to lay under after you undress. The dining options are mostly average American cuisine. Food is good, but not great. There is no room service and if you want to order food from one of the restaurants, you have to do it in person, no phone orders are allowed. "

"The rooms were mediocre. Thin pillows and uncomfortable beds. The laundry facility didn’t work. We stayed here only because we were traveling with our Labrador retriever and other pet friendly hotels had weight restrictions. "

"Staff was great. Easy fast check-in. Bed was comfortable. Room carpet was in need of replacing. Bathroom was average, good hot water. But sink was clogging and drained very very slow. "

"All of the food was SUPER expensive. There seemed to be only 1 place to buy coffee in the morning, and it was PACKED! Everything else was very good."

"Room was clean and comfy. Wish free coffee was available as 4.00 in gift shop machine was not greatest. Love no dogs allowed and no marijuana smoking on property. All rooms non smoking"
