"Not worth it. Way over priced! We stayed one night. Staff are very nice. But the place is of a by gone era. It’s old but not in a charming way. Showers in the onsen are cold and you have to wait for many minutes in order for hot water to come out. The rooms and elevators are old. the outdoor hotspring is on the top floor with no facilities (you have to go downstairs first and shower) and no real view to speak of. "This ryokan was built 160 years ago and had a charming historical atmosphere. Our room accommodated four persons comfortably with air conditioning and we were welcomed with a pot of tea and treats in our room. We thoroughly enjoyed the onsite onsen for a peaceful, relaxing and private experience. The location was convenient for those visiting Zenkoji Temple and the surrounding shops. Many restaurants and shopping within walking distance."
