"Great location close to the Bund and Yuan Garden. The breakfast buffet was enjoyable with lots of options and staff at hotel were attentive. The gym and rooftop bar were closed -rooftop since 2024. That was disappointing because I picked hotel partially because of having a gym and outside bar/seating area"

"AMAZING HOTEL!!! Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. The room was spacious/comfy, the staff and concierge were so nice, the food was delicious, and the hotel was so conveniently close to a lot of places. 10/10 would highly recommend staying here!"

"Lovely beautiful hotel, if not ever so slightly dated in its decor, however it’s beautifully maintained. My room was exceptionally comfortable and the location fantastic. The staff were not overly welcoming and I also had to provide a deposit at check-in despite having paid for my room already. This practice seems a bit outdated and is very none customer friendly. You demand an immediate deposit but then won’t/can’t refund people’s money back immediately… I didn’t like this at all and three days later still haven’t got MY money back. Breakfast catered for a wide range of tastes, continental, cooked eggs and local cuisines which was lovely. A nice place to stay, staff aside."
