"Overall, the hotel was nice but we most likely will not book again. There were not much activities on schedule, they can transport you to their sister resort for the parties but return window was not friendly. I don’t like the idea of having to be stuck somewhere for hours at a time. The elite club was a joke, we were better off booking the regular rooms, the very few perks offered were not worth the cost. Food overall was good for an all inclusive, no real complaints there. The elite club breakfast and room service menu was boring and subpar. We were better off eating at the buffet for breakfast and lunch, There was a strong sewage smell in the main lobby/bar area that was seemed to linger for the entire 6 days we were there. You see what the vision was for the resort, it just fell short…"

"Food was not good, not enough variety. Some of the staff were very rude when you asked them something.No entertainment pretty boring. Our fridge didn’t work , hair dryer didn’t work asked to replace it and they never did, safe didn’t work . We did have a nice view but honestly the hotel is old and it could use a renovation."

"Had the absolute best trip to this resort! Food at all the restaurants was amazing; didn’t have a bad meal all week. We wished some of the restaurants were open for lunch so we could eat there even more, but snack bars were amazing. Pools were great; lots of little areas to hang out and the bar staff there were awesome, along with all the staff around the resort. Stayed with my partner in the hotel; amazing view from our balcony and room was great. Didn’t make it to all of the evening shows, but the ones we did were exceptional and we absolutely loved the rock show. Location is also great as you’re very close to the airport, as well as the attractions in the hotel zone. Would highly recommend staying here!"

"The beach is beautiful, the resort is very clean and the food and drinks are good. This is our 4th time at the Royal Sands. I hope to go back next year. "

"A much needed escape from reality and falling back in love with Mexico! I can't express how much I loved Live Aqua-from check in to departure. It all went smoothly and I was so spoiled by the end. I would like to give shout outs to Daniel at the Aqua Club, Daniel at the daily buffet and Romero, our butler. These people go above and beyond every day for whatever you need. "

"Five star the mentioned employees. Mercedes in the Buffett restaurant. She was amazing and very helpful. Carlos on the beach was amazing with all the assistance with chairs and umbrellas. Bonnie served. Bartenders were all nice and friendly. Each runners that would bring you drinks were amazing. The parts that were not good. The spray that they put in the air is so toxic. Everywhere smells moldy and musky. The place has mold. When you get off the elevator the smell of lacker that I believe is to cover up the mold smell. The next huge complaint is the pushy upsell ALL the time. Restaurant no reservation but they can put one in just for you for a $150 dollar wine. Or go check out our other resort bc of the complaint of no where to seat unless you get up early to go save a spot. Upgrade your room for another $100 dollars a night. I bought the Preferred package. NOT worth the money. "

Can’t recommend it enough. So peaceful and relaxing. Wonderful spa and hair salon. Such a nice gym. Amazing week! Thank you tooo much Kempinski Cancun! "
