The renovated bathroom was excellent and had a nice big shower. Room 2 was lovely overall. Breakfast in the morning was excellent.. Overall we had a lovely overnight stay at the Cricketers Inn and would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area. ”

“Rooms were nice and clean, check in swift and staff friendly. Had the worst nights sleep of my life though. Had to move rooms at 12am as couldn’t get to sleep in my first room due to a constant drone sound from a pump in the building. Reception staff moved me immediately. Finally settled down in the new room only for the fire alarm to go off at 2am. I’m sure my experience would’ve been fine had it not been for those problems”

“Everything was wonderful EXCEPT no air conditioning so the whole hotel felt like a sauna (we were there during a heat wave in May) and they didn’t do table service for dinner so we had to order our food and drinks from the bar, which isn’t the end of the world but knocks a star off the rating. Room was super cute, well decorated, the bathroom was really nice, loved the shower and it was very clean. “Exactly what I would expect from a large chain hotel. Reasonably comfortable beds, good amenities, clean property, pleasant staff. No bells and whistles, but it works for a good night's sleep.”

“A lot of design flair has been put into The Kings Head interiors. Very comfortable. The choice of breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal we enjoyed there. The staff were very helpful as was their manager Tahir. The Kings Head is on the bus route into Winchester with a bus stop right outside. Very convenient for visiting the city. We were very impressed and would definitely stay again.”

“Wichtigster Punkt: Das "Doppelbett" ist max. 130cm breit, also viel zu schmal für 2 Personen! Wir hatten ein Zimmer im 1.OG zur Strasse: Der Verkehr direkt unterhalb des Fensters ist sehr laut. Motorradfahrer und getunte Autos drehen hier gerne nochmal ordentlich laut auf. Kein Zimmerservice, wir waren 3 Nächte dort, die Zimmer wurden nicht hergerichtet, war aber für uns okay, weil mit den kleinen Koffern am Boden das Zimmer komplett ausgefüllt war. “Worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Yes it was budget and it was just for an overnight stop in a continuing journey but broken tiles, broken and damaged panels & threadbare curtains. No staff available in the morning to discuss. Just very Delapidated and way past worn out!!”

They gave us the family suite so we wouldn’t have to bring our luggage upstairs. Hilary made the most perfect breakfast and it was so lovely to chat with her.
