โThe property was very clean and conveniently attached to a restaurant/bar. The staff were AMAZING! The young lady at the reception desk was full of smiles and let us borrow a uk plug for our chargers! We only brought America plugs! Also, Sara Jean in the restaurant was absolutely wonderful! She made me feel very welcome and gave us some good advice for what to do in York! It was such a great experience! I recommend if youโre looking for a quiet spot out in the country! โ
โMy main concern was that the HVAC system was not working well. We were in a bit of a heat wave and the AC was not working very well. Both the quantity & quality of air.
Love that the train station was literally across the street.โ

โWhat a beautiful property with a gorgeous room! We also enjoyed the extra rooms: library, music, etc. They were decorated very nice; we felt like we were staying in a castle! The staff were helpful and professional. The beds were not as comfortable as I would have liked. A perfect place to stay about 10 minutes drive from a park and ride into Edinburgh.โ
โWe had a great family stay at Arden House. The place is spacious, very well kept, and the breakfast was excellent. Parking was easy nearby. From the property, we enjoyed views of the racetrack and the worldโs oldest continuously played golf course โ even in the rain, people were out playing!
A direct bus to Edinburghโs Princes Street stops right outside and takes less than 40 minutes. Musselburghโs town center is also worth a visit for a taste of Scottish small-town charm.

โWe had a lovely time. From the moment we were greeted at reception on the first day till the day we left. Everyone was so nice and couldnโt have done enough for us. Our 2 dogs were made so welcome and our dining experience wasnโt reduced in any way because of them. Harriet should get a mention as nothing was too much trouble for her. โA short ride from the airport, this property is situated down a long driveway so feels private. Our room was spacious and clean with all the amenities including coffee/tea making facilities and fresh milk. The bathroom is large and well equipped with a rain head shower and a separate bath. There was also a flannel which I think necessary when using shower gel but not many properties have one. It's just a shame that we only had one night here. โ

"The location and view were truly excellent. Major tourist attractions were within walking distance. Right after check-in, we found that the bathroom sink was clogged, but it was promptly repaired. The breakfast was also outstanding. One downside was that noise insulation both inside and outside the hotel could have been better. Overall, itโs a very good place to stay in Edinburgh.
