"We recently stayed at American Waterpark Resort as part of a dance competition being held at the facility. The room we booked had an infestation of ants and when we brought this to the attention of the hotel the only option they offered for resolution was to send maintenance to spray raid and put out traps (ants were all located on the bed and bedside wall) OR to send housekeeping to vacuum them up. We requested a change of room but were told that was not a possibility and 'was there anything else they could help with'. We were forced to find somewhere else to sleep for the night with no concern of the hotel as we still needed to be present at the facility for the dance competition."

"Pros; very nice staff. Shoutout to Aaliyah who was sweet and sent a bottle wine for bday being celebrated. Convenient location and good food choices nearby even within hotel. Shoutout to Kegs went there twice. Also a Starbucks in there too, Fitness center was nice. Con: while rooms are spacy, they could use updating. Upon arrival shower had clump someone hair prior stay and called to asked it to be cleaned as I didn’t want touch it and it took until the following day and constant calling for someone come up. So couldn’t shower first night after driving 6 hours. Hot water a hit or miss and lighting was not strong"

"Everyone was very friendly. The property and room was clean, well kept, and within walking distance of everything. The view of Niagara Falls was breathtaking. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel. "

"Everything was pretty much as expected. Water pressure in the shower was weird and spewing out the top though which made that spray everywhere. Parking was easy. "

"Clean room, the kitchen had everything we needed, manager/owner was lovely. "

"We showed up for our reservation to find out there was an issue with our room and we are not staying at the oaks hotel anymore but at the Hilton down the street selling it as an upgrade to is at no extra cost. We picked the oaks specifically from its location to a restaurant we were meeting a large group at. While the Hilton wasn’t much further it was not what we wanted when booking. No phone calls or email letting us know, but only finding out when finely making it through the line up at the front desk. We move to the other location which was even busier at the front desk. Get through the line and find out there was no onsite parking left and we would need to drive to a satellite lot and shuttle back. But the shuttle is free and they’ll charge us the same rate that would have been at the Oakes on-site lot. With all of the confusion and check ins at both site it was about an hour and a half to finally check in. What’s even more frustrating is if we couldn’t make it to this reservation we would have been charged for the night as it was non refundable. But we can be relocated to a completely different site no word from anyone and still pay full price. I mentioned this to the front desk at the Hilton and she let me know if I did want to cancel we would have to take that up with the Oakes and MAYBE they would give us our money back."

"The mattress of the bed was too hard, it made difficult for us to sleep"

"Staff are rude, took 45 min for someone to come fix our tv the first night and we had to tell him to not be so rude. Second night tv didn't work again so had to wait again for it to be fixed. Would t answer the phone when we called the front desk. Holes in the wall beside where the ac is so you can hear everything from outside. Towels are toddler sized. Say they are dog friendly but they are not!! "
