Top Waterfall Country Hotel Reviews

Llechwen Hall Hotel
4/10 Poor
"Breakfast was left more than 2/3rds uneaten, hashbrowns looked and tasted like the day before, bacon had a weird taste, sausage too herby and undercooked, lots of grease on the plate from I assume the fried egg. "

Roadhouse LLanwenarth
4/10 Poor
"The hotel advertises the fact that they have a 2 year plan for refurbishment etc and state that the rooms are professionally cleaned and then sealed. We didn't find any evidence of this, either from the cleaning point or the sealing of the room, and would point out that the "professional cleaners" may want to buy a new vacuum cleaner because the one they are using doesn't pick up very well from the carpet. On arrival at the room we noticed that there was just one solitary teabag, barely enough milk and sugar for two cups of tea. Again this is usually something the cleaning staff would cover. We were going out for the evening and asked at reception for more teabags, milk, sugar. When we arrived back we found these items outside the room in the corridor on the floor in a tea cup! When we were leaving for the evening besides the teabags etc that we asked for we also asked if the toilet seat could be fixed because it was hardly secured and was in grave danger of causing someone a mischief. We were told that the maintenance man would be asked to sort it out. Unfortunately he either didn't take any notice of the request or wasn't asked because it hadn't been fixed by the time we returned. To exit the hotel is an archway which contained dog poo bags in one corner and a couple of 5 gallon containers of used cooking oil against the wall with approx another 10 containers just outside. There are other detrimental facts but this review doesn't allow more than 1500 characters."

Mercure Swansea Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"What a nice stay we had the hotel very clean and the staff are very professional and very helpful"

Best Western Aberavon Beach Hotel
8/10 Good
"The staff at the hotel were all lovely and so helpful! We booked breakfast for next morning upon arrival as I saw the food rating was a 5 (no longer an 1 which I saw from previous reviews) and the staff were really kind and accommodating with this. The hotel itself must’ve had a renovation or update since a lot of previous reviews, as after reading them, I was expecting it to be a lot worse, however it was actually very nice.
The only downside we experienced was that our room was very hot, which must be known to them as we already had 2 fans in the room for us to use. It wasn’t a huge problem for us but something to note.
Other than that everything was really pleasant. It isn’t the Ritz but it was a comfy bed, great location for the beach and pleasant for our stop in Wales whilst I was working.
I would absolutely stay again, thank you!"
