East Side Cheap Vacations

Honestly, other than the location ( short walk from the Grand Central) and the exterior of the building, I didn’t really care for much else. The staff was not welcoming nor friendly. The floors weren’t vacuumed properly and were screeching as you walked …nothing special in other words. Not likely to return.

The Fifty Sonesta is in a great location, was clean, and the staff was great. There was a broken board in the flooring that was a tripping hazard but we learned to avoid it. When we checked in, we were upgraded to a junior apartment with a terrace on the 17th floor, which sounded great. It was very spacious, had a small kitchenette, and had a great view straight up Third Avenue. Unfortunately, the windows were very poor quality and didn't keep any of the constant NYC noises out, making getting any sleep almost impossible. On Saturday afternoon I was sitting on the bed talking to my daughter on the phone and she said that the sound of the sirens was hurting her ears! If I pulled the door to the terrace tight it would help keep the noise out, but we didn't have anything to secure the door as tight as it needed to be. If you have good earplugs, this is a great room in a great hotel. If not, don't plan to get any sleep. I've heard the rooms in the back are the quietest.

I’ve stayed in a lot of places in NewYork mostly Manhattan area doing reviews for hotel rooms. Hotel 32|32 is I can say one of the good ones. It was a good experience, nice room, clean. But other than that it’s a great place to stay at. The location, the view and the vibe, I can’t complain definitely would be one of my top choices. Water is part of your stay, have to ask them the per room limit but with me and hubby it’s a good addition. Some snacks, soda and energy drinks but off course that’s with fee like others. Coffee is ready in the room. there’s a little problems it would be the bathroom door squeaking. I would wish a little microwave.

Perfect location. Everything good.
