“Overall very good. Fantastic breakfast. Clean, quiet and cosy.Friendy owners and great value for money. We will certainly be back.”

“The receptionist was far from welcoming - very matter of fact. I enquired to see if there was any cancellation with a dog friendly room - shrugged her shoulders and that was a no - not even I am sorry. Bar staff where we could take a dog was over the top - as we walked in announced to whole bar we were walking in - there was a very loud child approx 9 yrs old who he was encouraging to be even louder - we moved table. We have stayed here a few times but will not be back.”

“Lovely room but sadly no hot water in the morning to have showers. Staff apologised but didn’t seem to take onboard that our stay was spoiled.Food at lunchtime was delicious but breakfast wasn’t the same standard. ”

“We were in room 12 which was lovely and warm as always, love the shower in the Bathroom power shower ample hot water, and nice comfy bed, this wasn't our first stay there as, we love the friendly atmosphere and the staff are very helpful, great views especially from the resturant with it's picture windows looking out onto the North Sea. Looking foward to our stay later in the year again, might opt for one of the sea view rooms which are slightly bigger in size. A cooked breakfast is included or...

“Clean ”

“Booked a twin and double room. Rooms clean and well appointed with a communal kitchen area for use by guests. Did not use breakfast service as we left in the morning before the hotel staff had arrived. Only small complaint was that the staff were unable to open the connecting door between the 2 rooms which would have made things a lot easier. ”

“Staff are approchable and went to the trouble of wishing one of our party birthday wishes following a throw away comment about the reason for our visit. There was a wedding function the weekend we stayed and there was no distruption or loud noises. Very relaxed atmosphere and very good breakfast. The evening menu is a little limited in choice but we found the quality of food good.”

“Hotel certainly fine, but our room (128) was terribly placed for being woken at 6am by pounding techno music and someone screaming over a PA system to motivate a gym class …. Had an early morning appointment in the vicinity and only stayed in hotel so I could get a long lie instead of waking up at 6am at home …. If you like sleeping at 6am you’d be advised to ask to stay on a higher floor or the other end… no idea where the sound was coming from but once it woke us up it was too annoying to get...

“oh my god. this hotel is unbelieval perfect for us. whisky sweet room is fantastic comfort.. and room service steak was perfect delicius. we couldn't forgot steak. fresh beef and perfect chef skill. we really thanks. and we r sad our poor english. cuz we couldn't expression our perfect memory about malmaison.”

“Perfect place to stay with a dog. The mattress could do with an upgrade but otherwise very comfortable although there was an overwhelming smell of cleaning products in the accommodation. Food is excellent. ”
