"Enjoyed the stay however the keys to the room wasn’t working very well and took many try’s to get into the room. However very clean and staff was nice and enjoyed the rooftop!"
"Popped in for a first time visit to New York for an event. The place was affordable for being downtown. Was right at Grand Central station so wherever we wanted to go was easily accessible by the Subways. Check in was easy and our room wasn’t huge by any means but that’s not most important to me. Just needs to be clean, a good shower and comfortable beds. Check check and check. Also having a mini fridge is a huge bonus. Gotta have cool drinks available at all times. Unfortunately the weekend was a rainy one for us. The fortunate thing though was the lobby had an umbrella checkout machine. Just sign up on the app and free umbrella use on weekends. Perfect. Just wish we saw it the first day. Overall the hotel took care of all our needs and was close to so many great attractions. We got to see so much stuff in our short few days thanks to this hotel. Will surely stay again in the future."
"I've been staying at the New Yorker for nearly 10yrs and I love it. The staff are very helpful and has helped me with all of my needs over the years."
"Needed to ask a question at the check in desk. There was one lady working the “regular” side and 5 working on the “elite” line. Even when the elite line was clear, one lady worked her butt off on the long regular line. I understand that the elite members have spent more money than us peons, however we have to be willing to stay with you again in order to spend more money. This is unfair to your guests as well as your employees. Do better."
"It looks like they pulled a few of the hotel floors and rooms out of the sunken titanic and decided to start selling it. Floors were overly stained, outlets didn’t work, shower was stained, room was musty, paid near 300 a night for a room my closet is bigger than. The furniture and appliances were from the 80s. Nothing felt clean even though they said it was clean. There was dust in random places. Dirt in random places. Everything was painted over so poorly and just old and disgusting. If you go up to the highest floor, it looks like a mansion. they pick and choose which room that you get and what you pay for with a measly hundred dollars more you will get a room that’s SLIGHTLY better but still I don’t know how this hotel feels okay selling a room that looks as bad as mine did. I will be getting a refund. It was so bad that I had to go to the downstairs bathroom to get ready because of mine was not livable. It was not clean. Nothing worked not even the shower."
