Step inside, and it genuinely feels like stepping back in time—the old-school Victorian decor, intricate woodwork, antique furnishings, and classic wallpapers create a atmosphere you just can’t get at modern chain hotels. Between the prime Main Avenue location—just blocks from the train depot—and the unforgettable decor and nightlife, staying here was a highlight of the trip....

“Really good family hotel. They have popcorn and cookies thru out the day. Very friendly staff amd breakfast is ok, just have to wake up early for it.”

“We stayed in room 206. You could put a can by the ac unit, and it would roll all the way across the room to the door. Other than thinking I had vertigo, it was an awesome experience.”

“Too many kids in the hot tub swimming area. There wasn’t any staff around. There should’ve been under 21 time at the pool and spa and there should be a adult time at the pool and spa.”

I would recommend this place if you like a nicely updated space and the ability to come and go without navigating a busy hotel lobby. It was quiet and felt safe. The lobby has a full coffee bar and some breakfast foods for purchase. The coffee was amazing! The selection of walkable restaurants were great. “Location is close to downtown Durango. Room was clean except for one small picture shelf which needed dusting, otherwise very clean. Staff is friendly, even copied something for me and put out a piece of mail that needed to be sent. Breakfast had a good variety, no need to go to a restaurant unless you have special dietary needs. I was able to park close to my room. All in all I would stay there again.”

“Nice place to stay on a family trip. Our room was clean and spacious. We had a nice kitchenette, including a full-size refrigerator and dishwasher. Staff was helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay again!”
