"The food was good both breakfast and dinner. WInes are selected from locals so far I tasted. They may have imported though. Some facilities were out of use by heavy wind. Some staff could not communicate well in Japanese, but was OK not a big issue. Among variety of foods, I most enjoyed vegetables. There is no TV equipped in the guest room, which is good to simplify the view isn the room. Instead you will find a turn table for LP records and sound comes from wooden speaker."

Premier Hotel - Cabin President - Hakodate

"This hotel has a drink vending machine and microwave on every floor. In every other hotel I stayed at during my trip there was usually only one microwave and maybe a few vending machines for the entire hotel on the ground floor. There is also a coin laundry on the 4th floor. However, these coin laundry machines do not have passwords, so once the times up anyone can just open the machine. Breakfast buffet was very good and well worth the money, and all the hotel staff were friendly."

Hotel Emion Sapporo

"Hotel Emion Sapporo is a modern, exceptionally clean hotel with excellent facilities and a fantastic breakfast. One of its biggest advantages is the location. The building is connected to Sapporo’s underground pedestrian network, providing convenient access to Sapporo Station, Odori Park, and Susukino without having to deal with rain, snow, or extreme temperatures. The hotel also offers a public bath, though it is somewhat smaller than those at some other hotels I’ve stayed at. I recommend checking the real-time occupancy information on the in-room TV before visiting to avoid peak times. Additional conveniences include a 7-Eleven located on the first floor and paid parking immediately adjacent to the hotel. Guests receive a 500-yen parking discount from the hotel. For those looking to exercise during their stay, a JOYFIT24 gym is located directly across the street. A 30-minute pass costs 660 yen. The sign-up process can be a little confusing since the facility is unstaffed, but printed instructions are available at the entrance. My only notable criticism is the bed firmness. I generally prefer firm mattresses, but these were firmer than I would have liked—almost reminiscent of sleeping on a padded floor. Comfort is subjective, but lighter sleepers may want to keep this in mind. Overall, I would happily stay here again and would especially recommend it to travelers looking for a clean, modern hotel with excellent breakfast and convenient access to central Sapporo."
