Cool to stay in a machiya. Stairs are narrow and more like a ladder, but easily navigable for younger and smaller bodies. For the price there are more comfortable and equally well situated places around. "

"Good location. However, I believe the host doesn't understand what a VRBO is supposed to be. No coffee make, no paper towels for cleanup, no salt & pepper, no cleaning supplies. The beds were a little hard for me and they were clumped together so the only way to get into bed was to crawl from the bottom of the bed-this wasn't necessary as the room was big enough to rearrange the beds for a more comfortable stay. I was told to use the tissue paper (for blowing one's nose) to clean the place...
