“The Tennyson Room (Room 5) was beautiful. The view was stunning, there were no irritations (wonky toilet seats, blown light bulbs, badly scratched paintwork etc.) at all. The receptionist was a great guy - good for a laugh and engaging. Breakfast excellent.
Believe me - we are coming back it was superb. I have no connections with this place at all. It was so much better than the top of the range place we stayed at in Anglesey 2 weeks ago and cost £70 less.

“A small B&B but everything is done to perfection. My room had a lovely view of the mountain & church. The bed was comfy, everything was spotlessly cleaned. Breakfasts were always well-prepared and the best of what we had for our entire trip including our stay at much bigger hotels.
We had a little problem finding the parking lot the first day. I walked in and checked with Giles how to circle back. Without asking, when we drove back, Giles had already hung out in the front waiting to help...

The folks are accommodating and friendly; they really went the distance in making our stay comfortable and convenient. “Had a few days in The Lakes while visiting family in the UK and attending the Oasis concert in London. We could not have been happier with The Ambleside Inn - totally excellent stay. Great location, wonderful staff (thank you) and although no onsite parking there are lots very close to the Inn and the short stay (30 min) drop off is right outside.
