Chac Mol Cenote Tours

Check-in process is a nightmare. They double charged for taxes and fees after taking over an hour to have more than one receptionist assist guests. The service is very slow, with room service taking 45-60 minutes with two no shows on room service orders. The two bedroom suite is very nice and spacious. The food was very good at all of the restaurants with plenty of options. The common complaint from people we talked too was how bad the beach was. The water was full of seaweed and had a red/brown tint to it and had a foul smell. Our room was right next to the water and we only seen two people get in the ocean the entire week we were there. The pools were a lot of fun with different activities each day. The evening entertainment was good but the convention center stage where most of the artist performed was setup like a temporary stage with minimal to no props; however the performers were very good. Overall we had a fun family vacation with me, my wife, 3 year old daughter and 6 year old son; however will not likely be back to Marina El Cid.

This is a good resort that has the best options of restaurants, several good options. However, the the beache is very bad, non-enjoyable. They should remove all the rocks and have a sandy beach, I love the resort but without the proper beach, it's hard to come back.
