“We found the Tap House to be a disappointing stay, full of contradictions. The checkin was easy and the staff friendly. We stayed in a two bedroom unit, which has a sitting area and kitchen. The room was nice but tired with dirty doors and some broken/missing fixtures (door return hanging off, cable trunking missing capping). The kitchen had a kettle and a Lor coffee maker but no tea or coffee, cups but no glasses, knives and forks but no cooking utensils (except for can opener, peeler and...

“Nice comfy room, took the trouble to place fans in rooms in the heatwave. Very good breakfast & friendly staff. The price was good as well.”

“There was no breakfast available despite the description stating there was. The bath had no plug & the electric shower was very temperamental (from cold to scalding). The decor left a lot to be desired with nails/screws sticking out of the walls. There wasn’t a TV in each room & bedroom furniture was unstable.”

“A very old flat, like the others around, quite historical really, which has been modernised to a reasonable standard. All clean plus it had all the equipment needed, even an iron and drying rack. Disadvantage is the steep 20 concrete steps leading up to it.”
