Hotel Matilde - Lifestyle Hotel

"Overall, we had a decent stay, but the first day was honestly stressful. We had a hard time finding the hotel because the descriptions and photos on Expedia did not fully match what it looks like in real life. Some photos make it seem like the hotel is inside the shopping center, which was misleading. The entrance is hidden around the corner between restaurants in a small alley with no clear instructions, and since there are multiple places in the same building, it was confusing to find. To make things harder, you need a coin to use the elevator, which obviously you don’t have on your first day arriving tired with heavy luggage and no phone access. The front desk experience was also not the best. There was only one employee handling everything, and it looked like he needed more support. Something in the system was not working properly, so the room door would not open. He had to keep running back to the desk to fix it while also checking guests in and walking them to their rooms. A concierge or bellhop to assist guests and luggage would have made the experience smoother. Besides that, the room was good with a nice amount of space. Breakfast was okay, although not the best compared to other hotels we stayed at. The area itself was great safe, convenient, and very well located."

"L’établissement fut très difficile à trouver. Il y a 2 Nap Luxury Guest à Naples. Assurez-vous d’avoir la bonne adresse. Et malgré tout, très difficile à trouver. La chambre est spacieuse et propre. Par contre, étant donné que c’est près du port et de la circulation, nous avons eu de la difficulté à dormir. La jeune fille à la réception nous a bien accueillis, mais est immédiatement repartie. Donc, personne à la réception pour le reste de la journée et répondre à nos questions."

"The room was very clean and spacious. The bed is firm but comfortable. The room had a mini fridge with 2 bottles of complimentary water. It had a safe and 2 cabinets for your belongings. The bathroom was very clean with shampoo and body wash miniature bottles. The towels were very soft. The staff was so welcoming, the minute we stepped into the building the front desk person Linda greeted us right away! The whole staff are very friendly. This hotel does not have a lift so the staff members took our luggage up the steps and we didn’t even have to ask. This hotel offers breakfast and it was amazing! The tables are set up with plates and cups. It’s not a huge selection of food but is plenty. They make you coffee as well. There are a grocery store and pharmacy and restaurants nearby. This hotel is steps from the ocean so that was just amazing to take a stroll and see all the restaurants nearby."

"Old world style hotel with all the modern conveniences. We had a beautiful view from our balcony (room 209). The staff were all helpful and friendly. Many restaurants, pizzeria's and osterias within easy walking distance. Cab stand a half a block away. Note about the cabs - best to have Euro's with you and always ask the cost to get to your destination. The Train station is about a 20 euro cab ride and the Naples airport is 25/30 minute ride. We used a private car service but could have easily save some money by using a cab."

"The staff was amazing and very accommodating. They stored our luggage before checking in and gave us a map and insight of where to visit plus, had a lovely & tasty breakfast. Shared history about the building and were genuinely hospitable. The room was clean and comfortable. Note, there are a lot of stairs. Would definitely stay here again."
