"This property is in a great location! Short walk to Pier 39, the cable cars, streetcar stop right up the street. It was perfect for our 3 day vacation in San Francisco. The staff checking-in, at breakfast, and the bar were all fantastic and incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast buffet is top notch and really helped start our day off. The room was nice. Would stay here again and will recommend to anyone. "

The property has the old glamour of the grand hotels of the past with all of the modern comforts and amenities. Resort Fee gets turned into a hotel credit to spend at restaurant. Love this place! Check out the little french cafe across the street at union square, lovely indeed!"

"Historic hotel in a nice part of SF, easily walkable to central areas, close to cable cars which can easily take you further quickly. Safe area. Some parts of the room were a little tired but I think that comes with the overall age of the property"

"Chose to stay here after my original hotel was cancelled, glad I did as it's in a great location for walking to the pier's, boat tours, Alcatraz etc. The Krups coffee machine in the room was a nice touch and the hotel and rooms were very clean. My only gripes where the water machine on our floor did not work and some of the furniture in the outdoor spaces has seen better days considering the hotel charge $30 a day for these amenities."
