"We loved the onsen experience. We had never done it before and they had a “lesson” for onsen etiquette which was helpful. It was very clean and relaxing. It was nice to have a free ice cream every day after bathing at the onsen, and fun to walk around the property in our hotel robes. The only issue we had was 2 little kids running around and talking loudly in the onsen bath area which was disruptive, but not the hotel’s fault. "

"The room was cozy, the outdoor Onsen was fantastic. We love the privacy and the Mountain View. The staff was well trained and extremely helpful, especially the food servers. We enjoyed every moment of our two night stay. One issue that can be improved is the lack of a shuttle service for the guests. The Ryokan is on a rather steep slope and dragging our luggage back and forth was a real choir. Difficult to get a taxi from the Ryokan and the shuttle bus was not readily available. The Ryokan should have a van and a driver to ferry people back and forth between the Ryokan and the town. Charge a bit more to cover the cost, we for one, will gladly pay for the convenience! Overall, well done, and thanks. "

"The people there are wonderful. The rooms were very nice. The onsen was a great way to relax at the end of the day. Had a 5 course meal one evening, it was OUTSTANDING! The shuttle bus and car shuttle was very helpful. Enjoyed the whole experience. "

"Beautiful onsen, very hiddrn and quiet. Seems like an authentic Japan experience for foreign travelers. Wonderful private hot spring baths. Choice of western or Japanese slerping arrangements. Ie. Beds or futon mats on real tatami floors. The dinner and breakfast alone are worth the stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Especially when navigating cultural differences. "
