“Excellent stay”

“Friendly owner, good communication. Comfortable and clean. Property is convenient for the minster and restaurants/bars. Good value for money in a pricey city”

“The location was ideal for exploring York. We were in the middle of everything and yet felt secluded. Our room was clean and comfortable with lots of character. The staff were beyond fantastic - so very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we travel back to York.”

“Clean room and free parking”

“Such a great experience! Great, friendly hosts and great location. Clean room and the coffee station and cold waters were a nice bonus!”

“We only stayed at Ashbourne House for one night and it was very nice. Lovely room with a Comfortable bed, great shower and towels. Plenty if tea and coffee, and if you ran out you could get more from a dish on the landing also a sweet treat if you needed it, which I thought was a nice touch. It was a bit away from restaurants and the main shopping but public buses stopped just down the road and was easy to catch and came regularly if you didn’t have a car. If you did have a car there seemed...

“Willow cottage at Harmony House B&B is a self contained, privately accessed property attached to the back of the B&B. There is a beautiful lounge that doubles up as a second bedroom with a nifty Murphy bed in a stylish cupboard, a large dining room table and comfortable seating for 4 people. The small but perfectly equipped kitchen was a welcome addition as was the milk and delicious fudge left for us by the warm and friendly owner, Adele. The beautiful bedroom upstairs is charming and quirky...

“This is a delightful place. The staff is wonderful. The building is charming”

“Had a nice stay for our anniversary. Good suggestions for local walks. Wine and food was nice. It was a little disappointing that they did not do anything to mark our 10 year wedding anniversary and we had put a note on our booking. Drinks are quite expensive £6.50 for a pint/£10 for prosseco glass”

“Lovely and clean, nice hosts and very good location”

“very close to York city centre/ neat and clean but it's not en-suite, so bathroom and toilet are at different place. The door system is little tricky but don't worry!”

“The room was really clean, a bit small but really nice. Parking was easy, within a few minutes walk from hotel. Kim was lovely, she made us feel really welcome. Its a shame that they dont do breakfast anymore but we took cereal and also went to wetherspoon which was just down the road. We had a fabulous 3 days.”
