Cancun South, Cancun hotel rooms at the Palladium

"The location was good, at the end of "hotel row", the food was amazing at the on site restaurant, the pool was nice and the room was spacious. The internet left something to be desired at times and the AC units struggled to keep up with the heat in the room, but overall it was a good stay. The staff were very attentive and helpful at all times."

"Food was good for the most part, staff was friendly, bar good ( close at 1am ) nice views of the ocean from out room. The main negative is the people constantly trying to sell you stuff on the beach and even on the resorts by the resort’s staff to the point where we were avoiding specific route not to be bothered by these sellers constantly. Resorts could’ve add some animations to entertain a little more especially around 8-9pm when the sun’s down. Pool and pool’s bar close at 7pm which is kinda early imo. Overall the experience was okay but we won’t come back for a second time for sure. Old people might prefer this resort."

"Where do I begin? We got scammed by this hotel on day one. When we arrived, the front desk person advised me that there were no king size beds available, even though we had this room booked months in advanced. However, they offered to upgrade up for an additional $620 to a "honey moon suite". When we got to the room, it was the SAME exact room we had booked online. No upgrades, no upgraded liquor bottles, NOTHING! We got SCAMMED.. and when we went to the guest relations department to speak with Raul, he too confirmed it was the same exact room with no upgrades. We asked for our money back and he said no. We are not trying to dispute this with out credit card and it's not going well because we have no proof they did not upgrade us, only our word against moon palaces' word. This set the whole experience off on a bad note. Imagine going on vacation and getting scammed by a place you trust? Sad. The pool was mediocre at best. My friend cut the bottom of her foot on a loose tile in the pool. The pool also closes at 7pm and the outdoor bars close at 6pm??. Forget about aperol spritz, they are constantly out of it. The staff CALL YOU at 8 AM EVERY.. SINGLE... DAY.. trying to sell you upgrades and packages. If you do not answer they will call exactly 30 minutes later. It felt like harassment. The whole stay was dampened at how money hungry the place is. "

"I don’t even know where to start this review. This was my second time staying at RIU Caribe, and let me tell you, the way they continue to raise the bar is unbelievable! The hotel has had upgrades since my last visit, and everything is even better now. The food was AMAZING, and the staff was WONDERFUL, everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Our room was very clean, and even the linens smelled amazing. The hotel offers incredible activities, and the pool party was such a great surprise with so much entertainment and fun energy. It was my husband’s first time there, and he can’t stop talking about it or planning our next trip back to this resort. I’m so happy I chose to return to RIU Caribe. It truly offers a complete experience. Thank you for making this trip so memorable!"

"We travel a lot and I have traveled a LOT in my life, but this resort was BY FAR the best place ever!! The place was beautiful and clean and the staff were the nicest and most helpful. The food was AMAZING and a HUGE variety - the Italian was like restaurants we ate in when we traveled to Italy! I did have an issue at the reception with a young lady that was disrespectful, but I was able to speak with the manager immediately and shared my concerns. A 99% satisfaction for sure!"

"The property has many activities to do for your kids. Not one day was my kids not entertained or said they were bored. Plenty of things to do. Keep in mind this resort is massive and has 3300 rooms so it’s often busy and distance to get places."
