"We live in California but come to NYC at least once a year. This was our third time staying at the Shelburne Sonesta. It is in a great location, given our needs while in NYC, which allows us to walk to many of the places we need to go. We like that it is not in the midst of the most touristy areas of the city. It is also not as pricey as some of the other hotels but still provides a comfortable, clean environment."

"The staff was very nice; The room was big. When we first arrived it felt like the room hadn't been occupied in a while. We asked to get it re-cleaned, and they did and it was much better after that. It's a great location and all in all I enjoyed the stay!"

"We had a great stay. The staff are exceptionally friendly. Free bottled water at reception was appreciated. The doorman was great! Very minor stuff: The hotel is old so there are a lot of creaks and noises at night. The a/c makes a terrible sound if we turned it down a degree so we kept the room a bit warmer than we liked but none of that impacted our stay in any meaningful way. Great location! Would stay here again for sure."
