"The food was good and the pools were great. The beach though was another story. Besides the sargassum, it was not well maintained and eroded. Some palm trees are getting ready to fall due to it. The room was up to date but make sure you close patio door because animas will get in. When we checked into our room there was ground coffee on the floor and opened sugar packets. We called the receptionist and were told that probably an animal got into the room. We checked the patio door and it was left open by someone. They said that those animals (I don't remember the name now) can open the door. Imagine how we felt about it! Thinking that they can open the door and enter while we are asleep! Thank God that did not happen because we made sure that while we stayed there we have not had any incidents."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! The resort was beautiful, clean, and incredibly well maintained. The staff went above and beyond to make every part of the trip enjoyable. A special shoutout to Ariz, our butler who had gone above and beyond throughout our stay accommodating our requests, scheduling and even down to the room making it an intimate special vacation for me and my partner. Santiago had welcomed us into Route 66 and made us feel like we had known eachother as long term friends. Manuel at the steakhouse made our last night enjoyable and ensured our experience was top notch! The food exceeded expectations with lots of variety, fresh options, and great restaurants to choose from. Drinks were consistently good, and service around the pool and beach was excellent. Rooms were spacious, comfortable, and cleaned thoroughly every day. There was always something to do whether you wanted entertainment, excursions, relaxing by the pool, or even enjoying the suite itself. Overall, this was the perfect balance of fun and relaxation, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a stress-free vacation. Already planning a return trip!"

"We absolutely loved this hotel. The resort is beautiful and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The beach is cleaned of seaweed daily. We especially enjoyed the hotels al a carte restaurants. The kids enjoyed the waterpark. The room was lovely, although it didn't have enough storage in the room for a family of four, meaning we had to leave a lot of our clothes in the suitcase. Unfortunately the cenote and some of the resorts other attractions were closed, which we were not informed of before we arrived, so do check if these are important features for you. We all enjoyed seeing the monkeys and other wildlife around the hotel. Will definitely be returning!"

"We stayed at this property about six years ago and it was lovely. It has declined since that time. The service at the buffet is extremely poor. Good luck getting a refill on some water or coffee. The buffet food is average. While the hotel advertises that it has four restaurants, during our stay, only two were open each night. One of them was terrible and the others were average. The service in the restaurant is better than the service in the buffet. The bartenders at the pole bar in the quiet pool were excellent and did a great job and the drinks were delicious. The overall maintenance of the property is very poor. There are many broken loungers at the pool, and they do not clean the chairs and tables each night after the pool closes. Further, there are several areas where there should be reflecting pools, but they are empty, so instead of beautiful surroundings, it looks terrible with plumbing exposed. Also when we were visiting (early May) the beach is unusable due to seaweed in both the water and the beach, which also results in a terrible smell. "

"We love vacationing on the Yucatan Peninsula over the last 15 years. We have stayed at several different resorts, condos, and even an ocean-front villa, but the Princess resort is by far our favorite. We've stayed at the Princess once or twice a year over the last 5 years, and brought family members to enjoy to resort with us. The resort has been doing some needed renovations over the last year and the updated rooms are beautiful. Our only disappointment with the new rooms is they removed the Jacuzzi tubs, which was one of our favorite perks, and replaced them with a nice looking but small bathtub. They also remodeled the restaurants and improved the dining options and experiences. They have several chefs available to cook to order food at the evening buffet. And the staff is always very helpful. We want to thank Francisco, Roberto, Lorenzo, Beatriz, and Angel for making all of our meals a wonderful experience, and also our favorite tram driver Bernie for his excellent service. The only other thing that could have made our vacation better was the beach conditions. The sargassum was really bad, and was piled up in big stinky mounds, so we didn't spend anytime at the beach. I don't know if it's possible for the resort to do something to improve that, but we spent our time enjoying the pools instead. We really enjoyed our stay and we will be back to the Princess!"
