"it was clean and very beautiful resort lots of walking, walkway was nice and clean the only thing we didn't like was seaweed was blocking the ocean basically no access unless you want to go through seaweed that started to fermentation and smells really bad."

"Our overall stay was great! The restaurants had good food! Buffet had many options and their drinks were good! Especially their fresh fruit drink bar. Only downfall is that the room had a distinct odor. It smelled like there was moisture in the room and some of the pillows had that wet smell. The staff was amazing! Super friendly and helpful! Oh, and their late night events by the lobby were so fun! They had something different everyday. I loved their Mexican night with the vendors!"

"El hotel está dentro de un complejo de hoteles y tiene muchas ventajas y opciones que merecen 5 estrellas, sin embargo en nuestra estadía hubo algo que hizo difícil el disfrutar plenamente: en Playa del Carmen desde mayo a octubre es temporada de "sargazo"que son unas algas que por esta epoca del año se acumulan en la playa en cantidades alarmantes, según pudimos averiguar en varios lugares y con diferentes personas incluso con agentes de policia, se nos dijo que era responsabilidad y obligación de los hoteles limpiar el sargazo porque el olor es horrible y emana gases que son tóxicos y afectan tanto la salud como la piel. En el hotel fue posible usar las instalaciones, tolerando el olor horrible que por momentos y gracias al viento mejoraba, pero en la playa y en las comodidades cerca de la playa era imposible disfrutar por el olor; la playa no se veía y era imposible caminar por allí. A pesar de tener señalización para no entrar al mar, no había nada que alertara de que no se debía estar en las sillas y mesas allí dispuestas para prevenir enfermedades al respirar constantemente ese olor terrible. Esta es la razón por la que nuestra calificación sería máximo 3 estrellas."

"We had a wonderful time in R.H. The resort was even nicer than we expected. We were met here very friendly wonderful staff, which made our vacation unforgettable! This is pretty nice, very green property. The food was excellent. Both restaurants Los Morales and Kinoko were great experiences. Very easy to make a reservation, just call at 8:30AM and book a table on the same day. We recommend booking a show table in Kinoko with Armondson chef. He was awesome! Room was super clean. We had a condo with bedroom ,kitchen, dining and pull down murphy beds in the living room. Room service was prompt. Large pools was clean and the waiters were always attentive around the pools. Thank you Eduardo and Leo, you made the most delicious drinks! Special THANKS to the awesome activities team (Hector, Charlie, Karim, Josh, Jamir, Rafael)! They all work hard to make our stay interesting and busy. There was plenty of activities daily which are really a lots of fun. Archery, trivia ,bingo, water polo, dancing, cooking class, tennis, pickle ball, cycling, casino, karaoke, evening shows and much more. This was our first time there and we would definitely return and highly recommend Royal Haciendas!"

"The property is stunning. There's so much greenery. It is a big property but the shuttle carts were quite helpful! The food at this property is good! Especially the French toast! We actually liked that the restaurants were combined. You could mix & match cuisines! Arezzo was a favourite. The tuna cutting and the bbq at the beach were exceptional! We stayed at villa 15 and it was so convenient to have a pool and a bar right there. Our one bedroom suite was huge! The bed was good! Bathroom and showers were standard and clean. Our AC was exceptional. There were times we had to turn it down because it got too cold! The guys that do all the games at the Energy pool were all amazing! And the hostess/host at the restaurants were very nice as well. We barely went into the ocean because the sargassum was so bad but that's uncontrollable. They also continued on with the nightly entertainment rain or shine which was nice. We didn't get hounded or felt like because we weren't members that we were subpar. The Macrame class is also a must do. The teachers were amazing!"

"We had a great stay. We had a group of 15. Large resort with plenty to do for all ages (18-60) of our group. The only down side was the beach because of the sargassum but that was expected for this time of year. We had a great time at the pool bars. The food was surprisingly good."

"Loved almost everything about this resort!! The staff were top notch in our opinion and the property was gorgeous. Lots of food and drink options and the shows were fun. We loved the club at night too! Our only complaint was the fitness center. It’s way too small for an adult only resort. They should look at the Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana property for what a fitness facility at this level should be like. It was too small and not nearly enough equipment."
