"The breakfast was wonderful. Something for everyone. Also the daily outdoor winter lunch was very good too. One night we had the Chef’s dinner and it really was excellent. No point arriving before your room is ready because there is literally nothing to do, even though the room may be ready, you can’t have it till 3pm. "

"Stay was amazing ! Mr Fukushima was so kind - he helped us with discounted lift tickets, picked us up from the train station and took us grocery shopping. Location was right at the Iwatake gondola. Please note the unit is in traditional Japanese style - sleeping on the floor with Japanese pillows (very different to western pillows). Highly recommend !"

"We stayed at Prominence near the start of spring. During this time, many shops, restaurants, and cafés were either closed for the season, closed early, or had limited seating. Many bar-style eateries were also not very welcoming to families with children.
In hindsight, it might have been better to stay in the Happo-One area, as it was the only ski resort still open for the remainder of the spring season.
That said, the accommodation itself was beautifully modern and spacious. The kitchen was...

"The restaurant option closes at 8pm. Something the staff did not explain upon check in.
The bar doesn’t open till 4pm in the afternoon. Again, something the staff did not explain.
They don’t have any vending machines with food options. Seriously so no food on site after 8pm and nothing available to eat.
They don’t have vending machines with Beer or Liquor options.
There were no towels in the shower area. Yes they give you an Onsen towel and small towel in a tote bag but come on. Have proper towels for the room for when you shower.
Lastly, their shuttle service doesn’t run until after the first bus from Hakuba t Nagano runs so we had to take Taxi’s into the town-1.5KM.

"My partner and I visited while in town for a ski trip. We had a wonderful time. The staff as very attentive and helpful, and the restaurant at the hotel was very very good. The breakfast was amazing (especially when we got individual breakfasts on the day the buffet was not available), as was the dinner (Japanese bbq). We enjoyed the onsen, which features snacks and drinks. Our room had a very nice shower and heated floors. There was a ski gear drying room as well which was convenient. We loved this hotel!"
"This hotel was absolutely incredible. It’s located just five minutes from Happo-One, which made getting to the slopes unbelievably convenient.
The ski shuttle service the hotel provides is also fantastic. Whenever you want to ski, you simply go down to the ski concierge, let them know you’re heading out, and they’ll have all of your gear ready—clean, dry, and warm. Then they drive you straight to the mountain of your choice. It honestly couldn’t be easier.
Yes, the hotel is on the pricier side, but it is absolutely worth it. The food at the restaurant is outstanding, and the service was truly impeccable. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty.
I’m already looking forward to my next trip back to Japan, and I will definitely be staying here again."
"Loved this hotel. Very friendly staff and beautiful rooms and onset.
Staff transferred us from and to the train station. There is a bus stop right outside that take you to happo, Hakuba 47, Goryu and Iimori all free of charge. Short walk to Echoland restaurants and a great Ramen restaurant opposite the local 7-11."
"Super stay, homely, friendly, helpful, good coffee, good selection of breakfast bits, the lady owner is a Jem, super accommodating, and Ly was great for lifts around town, would (and hope to) return in a heartbeat "
"Property was amazing. Staff was kind enough to accommodate my request for a private onsen room. Which I should have booked initially but didn't realize was an option. Shuttle bus stop at the front door will take you to various ski resorts in the area. Staff is excellent, helpful, kind. Restaurant is great! Had use of a ski locker as well. Full locker, not just a place to hang skus and poles. "
